Many patients suggest that the
Brazilian butt lift is the most painful surgery. This is followed by abdominoplasty, breast implants, liposuction, breast lifts and reductions, and jaw surgery. Dental implants can also cause pain since you still need to eat during the healing process. V-shaped surgery is a popular plastic surgery in South Korea, whose goal is to reshape the mandible in the shape of a "U" to "V", which by East Asian beauty standards is considered more aesthetically attractive. V-surgery is a fairly invasive procedure, but it is performed under general anaesthesia, so it is impossible to feel any pain during the procedure. Pain after the procedure is controlled with prescription pain relievers. Most patients feel pain and discomfort in the jaw joints, but it's bearable. Some patients complain of dryness and sore throat during the first week after surgery. In the case of V-line surgery, the pain level is considerably low, no matter how painful the recovery process is. Discomfort during the first two weeks after surgery is more severe than the pain. Depending on the patient, due to the limited mobility of the jaw, from 1 to 2 weeks, they can only eat liquid or soft food. In addition, after bone shaving, the swelling is considered more severe than in other facial plastic surgeries. The patient may also feel numbness in the lower jaw and lips. A breast lift with an inverted "T" shaped incision is the most effective surgery for very saggy breasts. This incision is also applicable for correcting macromastia (breast reduction surgery). The incision is made along the nipple, vertically from the nipple to below the breasts and horizontally below the breasts. The patient is under general anaesthesia during surgery, so she feels no pain. Most patients experience moderate or low pain in the incision areas for 1 to 3 days after surgery, but it goes away quickly after taking regular non-narcotic pain relievers. However, the pain level may increase in the case of more complex surgery, such as mastopexy or reduction mammoplasty, which involves implants and increased fat grafts. Similarly, in V-line surgery, discomfort is a much more severe problem than pain in this case. During the first few weeks after surgery, the patient must sleep on his back; he may also feel numb and, depending on individual needs, must wear a special garment for a couple of weeks or months. Liposuction is a surgery that removes fat from specific areas of a patient's body. There are several ways to perform liposuction, such as waterjet liposuction or tumescent liposuction. The latter is considered more painful but also more effective. The surgery is performed with general anaesthesia or sedation, depending on the area of surgery and the amount of fat to be removed. During surgery, the patient does not feel anything because liposuction is somewhat invasive; however many patients describe post-liposuction pain as having a giant bruise in the treated areas and they may also experience nausea. Pain can be relieved with regular non-narcotic pain relievers. If needed, patients can also obtain a pain and nausea management device at the hospital. In addition to pain, patients may feel some discomfort when moving; due to pain and numbness in the areas of surgery normal sleep may be disturbed. Liposuction involves significant trauma to small blood vessels under skin so swelling and bruising are usually more significant than after other surgeries; patients should also wear special compression garments to ensure best effect. Breast augmentation with implants is a surgery that enlarges breasts by augmentation with implants. Implants can be made of silicone or saline solution although today silicone implants are much more popular. The implant is inserted into breast through an incision under breast, a periareolar incision (around nipple) or an auxiliary incision (armpit). During surgery patients are under general anesthesia so they do not feel pain again. The level of post-operative pain and speed of recovery process also depend on areas of incision; incision under breast is considered least painful. The patient may begin to feel moderate pain in incision areas and implant pocket once anesthesia has completely passed; implant augmentation can also be combined with autologous fat grafting which involves liposuction which can make recovery process a little more painful.
